- Hi, I'm Maria, the TOOL fox. I would like to show you Phoenix Contact's CF 1000 pneumatic wire stripping and ferrule crimping machines for 22 to 8 gauge wires. They can strip and crimp 1200 wires per hour and offers a strip-only function.
There are two different units based on the American wire gauge requirements.
The CF 1000-1.5 will do a 22 to 12 gauge and comes with a kit for 20 to 16 gauge. The CF 1000-10 will do 12, 10, and 8 gauge. Those kits are sold separately.
Both machines allow for 6, 8, 10, or 12-millimeter strip or ferrule barrel length requirements. Initial setup requires all of the components from the toolkit.
Each toolkit comes with stripping blades, crimping jaws, centering funnel, sleeve receiver, reversing base sleeve, separation plate, and a bowl feeder.
First, we're going to insert the stripping blades and crimping jaws.
Open the door, remove the holders, slide the cassette upward and insert the crimping jaws.
(soft music)
Release the cassette, and now insert your stripping blades.
(soft music)
Place the centering funnels into the holders and snap the holders into place.
(soft music)
Insert the sleeve receiver, and attach the reversing base sleeve.
(soft music)
Close the door.
Now you will need to screw in the separation plate, using the hex wrench in the door
and attach the bowl feeder.
(soft music)
Once all of this is done, fill the bowl with ferrules appropriate for the wire's American wire gauge. Plug the unit in. Connect to air, and you're ready to go.
As I stated, the machine has the capability of strip only.
To engage this function, press the strip-only button on the front panel and then insert your wire.
To engage the strip and crimp function, press the ferrule button, insert, and then remove the wire.
At 1200 strips and crimps per hour, the CF 1000s are suited for the highest volume
applications for 22 to 8 gauge.
They provide maximum flexibility with 6 to 12 millimeter strip lengths, the ability to strip only, or strip and crimp.
