2020 GT500 CARBON CAR! More Boost and DYNO!!!!!

Alan Ciafalo recently brought us his brand new 2020 Shelby GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack for some upgrades at Rarefab and a custom dyno tune. This shows a good example of how we are constantly adjusting our remote tuning via testing on our in house dyno. I also discuss heat concerns and how to address that with the new Whipple cooling mods.

It's rare seeing a CFTP GT500. From magazine tests. It's a beast on the track. Big fan of the color. I'm hoping the owner shares some track time videos of his GT500. It appears the GT500 has a tremendous amount of power available. Gives you the opportunity to keep pushing the car horsepower upwards. Thanks for sharing your great content.

Yep aa soon as you modify these they need to upgrade the HE when upgrading the rest... or else the work you did won't help on a road course... great content and he will have a blast now with that car on track.. no more heat soak = consistent lap times great work keep it up!!! Cooling mods are always first on my list... even on my little 15 Roush car.. it's a must when upping the boost!!!..

Sir, I have goofy question? Back in the day you used to see people putting ice bags on their intakes, mostly the old foxbody's. Since the intercooler is right under the supercharger lid. Would that be a fisable thing to do to lower intake temps in-between dragstrip runs?

can you circulate the ic pumps between runs to help with heat soack on the dyno.

@Palm Beach Dyno what’s your guys opinion on the Forced Induction Interchiller systems for these cars? Worth it to get everything super cold then shut the AC system off before doing pulls?

I see that the air filter cover was removed on the second and third runs. Did you see gains with the filter cover installed from the standard tune that is available?

Sounds like it has a rod knock down low but probably that dct trans. or exhaust.🤮

What is the reason for the catch can? It already comes from the factory with a set up for it. Just curious.

That exhaust sounds so cheap and tinny.. horrid sound.. actually not sound, more just noise, nice car though
