instructions:
3 cups roasted peanuts, unsalted or salted (if not roasted, spread on a baking sheet and bake 350F for 10 minutes)
1-2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
½ tsp salt

instructions:
1- Blend the peanuts in a food processor or high speed blender. Blend until creamy, pausing to scrape down the sides as necessary. It will take from 5-10 minutes.
3- Towards the end, add maple syrup and salt.
4- Store in an airtight jar for up to 3-4 weeks at room temperature.

It's not lower in cost, it's more expensive unless you buy in bulk. Even then, you're only costing the same as store bought at best.

You will want to store this in the refrigerator; this style of oeanut butter will separate at room temperature and you will need to stir it up before using. Keeping this type of peanut butter in the fridge will let you use it long before it can separate.
