BRILLIANT MOVIE!! My 14 year old son and myself decided to go together this evening to see it. Was never able to finish the movie 🎥. First the theater started it 25 minutes before it was supposed to. No biggie. THEN A STORM HITS RIGHT WHEN IT WAS GETTING REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD! HONESTLY THE WHOLE MOVIE MAKES YOU FEEL EVERYTHING. TEAR JERKER. Kevin is very well-spoken! He always puts his kids first, but doesnt let entitlement get in the way! He is always positive about his exes! He also shows how grounded he is

He truly is a story teller and what some of us use reference to as a knowledge keeper.
Many can research, utilize old documents and archived information but it truly takes someone who is born a story teller that has relationship to the history, people, and environments of the old days as if it were a personal one from the hindsight of today.

I saw "Horizon, Chapter 1" Saturday. It isn't pretty - though, admittedly, the landscapes are breathtaking. It is an experience that asks its audience to be intently engaged, mentally alert, and emotionally accessible - not passively spoonfed. I appreciate that. I feel invested in these characters and in their stories and, as with a good novel, eagerly anticipate their further development in Chapter 2. Go see it if you love westerns... or... even if you don't.

Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) one of America’s best songwriters wrote a song called Mamah Borthwick (A Sketch), that has a lyric “a hidden dream can be embarrassing and the only thing that’s sacred to the end”. I think that’s what Kevin is doing, something sacred. The song is about the great American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

I will Always Kevin. One of our best friends who was a fire fighter with my husband would be asked ALWAYS "Are you related to Kevin Costner?" He would hate when the guys would say "ssshhhh it's a side gig for him you can NOT tell anyone" Mark would just roll his eyes and walk out of the situation. Even when we went to the IAFF Convention in Vegas 2002 for the 9-11 responders folks would stop him. It was actually hilarious.
