It's been six months since Apple announced and released the iPhone XS and XS Max. Since then, I've carried several other phones including the Galaxy S10, OnePlus 6T, and the Pixel 3, but I always end up back on the iPhone. This is why.

I switch yearly between Android and IOS, I like to experience the best of both worlds, just recently switched from iPhone X's max, to Samsung S10+ I'm really happy with my Samsung. just does so much more and faster and I appreciate the freedom. at the end of the day a phones a phone. enjoy what you got :)

The price is too high...
HOWEVER, if you plan on using a smartphone for 5, maybe even 6 years, iPhone is the only way to go


Edit: I know you can root a smartphone but most people are not that well versed in tech

Started out with Iphone, (still have my Iphone 4 for some reason) but have since migrated to Android, and using a Note 9 as my daily driver.
I certainly appreciate this video.
I can thank ios for being the mobile platform that I recommend people who simply want a phone to do the basics. It's fast, it's fluid. It gets the job done.
However, there is something utterly profound in knowing that for those who like to tinker, there is this entire world of Android that uses your phone as a husk to manipulate into your own very creation.

Your experience with the first iPhone reminds me a lot of mine. When I saw it I knew I had to have it. It was the future and it felt like it. It was the first thing I bought with my first credit card and almost maxed out the damn card. But there was nothing like it. Everyone who saw it always asked if they could use it and as soon as they started using it they fell in love with it. I hope I’m as excited for a future piece of tech just like I was for the original iPhone.

I switched my father to an Apple laptop last year and to an iPhone a few weeks ago and he is very happy. His stuff is backed up to iCloud automatically and he can access it on his iPhone and he loves FaceTime, he can call me or his brothers and sisters with it and he's never going back. I still haven't had the time to show him how to text while using his laptop, he's really going to love that.

iPhone got the hardware part right (still not a fan of notch and back camera bump is really annoying, also though the display are great but when you compare it to higher resolution one's of Samsung and other it kinda looks lacking a little) but to me it's IOS that's crippling the whole experience since I'm an Android user for years now the whole concept of iOS that's it "just works" is just not enough to me as the whole usage pattern is monotonous at best. There's no customisation no variability everything is just static with no difference whatsoever it still feels like a phone apple intended to be not a phone I want it to be with my own touch.
Plus most of Youtubers here are from states where Apple services like iMessage etc actually works and they're already too invested in Apple ecosystem that jumping to another platform isn't worth it.

The reason Apple isn't successful in the developing countries like India are that the price are just ridiculously high like 1.5 or even twice to that of US price and people got far better alternative for price as low as $200 you can get a really great phone that is just perfect for even demanding users like Redmi note 7 pro. Also the Apple service here are mediocre at best.
