Did my «big upgrade» earlier this year from the iPhone X to the 15 Pro Max and that really was a game changer indeed, especially since I started my channel late last year with the X and am now filming with the 15 pro max using my X as a «b-cam» - and I’m kind of glad I did cause the 16 doesn’t really tempt me that much - I did however set the blackmagic camera app to open up when double tapping the back of the phone, using shortcuts, so double tap opens the app with initial settings for indoor shooting in my workshop, and triple tapping opens the app with my general «outdoor shooting» settings which I can quickly adjust with white balance and shutter speed depending on light and sun, those two shortcuts have turned out to be very helpful, since when making a shortcut you can choose which camera settings you want the blackmagic camera app to open up with :)

Setting Camera Control to double click solved the accidental launching of the camera app for me.

I only got the iPhone 16 Pro Max coming from a 12 Pro Max just because of this longevity. I wanna upgrade for another 4-6 years. I’m not a pro user. The only reason I got it was for the battery and heat efficiency and also Apple Intelligence. These are the main three things. I got this iPhone 16 Pro Max for.

I think the camera button is really good to quick launch the camera and take a pic instantly. Thats about it

I was very skeptical about that camera button; I was sure it would be a problem. I thought they would come up with a way to lock the button. Unfortunately…
Anyway thanks for the honest review, I’ve been thinking for a while about replacing my 13 as well and this was helpful ✌🏻

Hey Mr. Lindgren, I also was annoyed at accidentally hitting that button, but if you switch it to double press to activate, that might make it a better experience. Let me know if that helped 😊

Using 18.2, the camera button was clearly always made for Siri Visual Intelligence. Having the option to launch it any time and get more info on whatever I’m looking at is so much more useful than goofy camera gimmicks.

I agree most of us won't use the high end specs, but I love to have them in my pocket. So I am loving my 16 pro max and specially desert looks beautiful 😍. No Regrets.

Ordered it first day. While waiting for it to arrive, I've cancelled my order and still running my 14 pro max. Usually I upgrade every two years, but this time it has to wait, not worthy the upgrade for my own usage

you can change the singlepress to a dubblepress to open the cameraapp in the settings. helped me alot :D
