Analysis of the Rhythm of "The Gate" revealing the time signature of this music.
I like to analyse Bjork music because I always learn something new that I didnt perceive it before. I think she often put elements in her music that match with the lyrics theme. Here the hesitation about open herself to love again is translated in odd number of bars, in the empty verses and euphoric chorus.

this all fits actually and proves my understanding is that when she writes or performs then the criteria of music theory bends to her will and not the other way around. shes a very well trained classical musician who dares to use her knowledge to overcome its limitations and the results are breathtaking
