Great video once again Mark. There's a lot of amazing artifacts from Trimontium in Edinburgh museum, including one which I found amazing that survived which is a leather Roman Legionary tent.

Mark - Thanks very much for the excellent videos. Last year my wife and I had planned to visit many of the sites you feature, unfortunately, well, you know. Anyway, thanks again for at least letting us tag along. :)

Another great video. I think Scotland has so many historic sites that people just take them for granted.Half the buildings in your average High street would be tourist attractions here in Australia. Up in Ross-shire I used to search for and visit sites on the RCAHMS database which none of the locals I worked with had ever heard of.

Fantastic video. I was up at the Syke hill fort in Peebleshire, near Manor Village, recently. Tried to find the one close by in hunt hill also but couldn't find it in the snow!

The Romans managed to venture far as the Antonnines Wall and the Gask system in Perth shire before being driven back.
Berwick was used as a Roman port and a Roman road towards Cappuck near Jethart can be seen near Linton. The area is criss crossed by them.
That area o peeblesshire has many Roman things including the terraces at Romano brig .But ye will ken that.
Well done again Mark an interesting wee snippet.

Did you hear about the Roman temple found at Easter Langlee? I have copies of the Scotsman article at the time. They found marble structures while workers were carrying out building works. Someone went to get an archeologist but the workers just continued and demolished it before they arrived. The article was in the Scotsman in 1965.

Nice video, I've been to all the North of England forts, so impressive! Such a shame we don't have the same here, but Cheers for showing us Lyne fort! never knew it existed, but pass by there often. I will stop next time 👍

Me and my work mate cut the grass up at Lyne kirk every couple of weeks with the council, and I was just saying to my mate how nobody ever comes up here. might be a good idea to do a bit metal detecting.
