Very easy to follow explanation, almost effortless on my part.
I've just come across a 3 wire start stop but with a single phase machine using a dpdt relay.
Couldn't wrap my head around it all even after reading many explanations until I watched this video.

As a rule of thumb one would usually connect normally open contacts in parallel with each other and normally closed contacts in series with each other.
