It has EVERYTHING to do with the union.

Good for the woman who tries to stay positive. Yes, it's a tough but life goes on. Worrying about things out of your control impacts your health and allows these megacorps to keep pressing their thumbs on all of us in perpetuity long after they've signed your last cheque.

There is no loyalty anymore from employers; there hasn't been for decades. Protect your back, there are no friends in the work place.

Unions stifle productivity. Just take at the GOC. All union. Overpaid, under qualified, hugely entitled, nothing ever gets done. I worked for the Feds for 2 years. I was constantly called out for doing too much work and being too efficient. Went back to the private sector.

I dont think boycotting them will bring Amazon back to Quebec. Instead of telling them what to do because of french privilege just be happy they employ 1500 people as long as they did in Quebec

Unions made their bed, now they have to sleep in it. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

$20+ dollars with benefits was not enough for a basic job, so the employees got conned in to believing the union can get them more money?! Well you got your union, but no job. Congratulations!

Aaah...unionized in 2024...
They should have studied some economics before this foolish move...

How is the union in your best interest when you just lost your job. Your union just failed you. A corporation decided it was smarter to pull out completely than to suffer a third party constantly creating friction between it and it's employees. It is unacceptable.

Greedy unions want the star and the moon, and even that would not be enough. These unions are horrible.

Too many barriers in Quebec, 80% 1. French required drove leading IT companies who were hiring in Quebec to stop operation and hiring.
2. House building requires too many process made builders move to other provinces.
3. Extra high tax
4. Extra high property tax disallowing companies to buy their own business assets.

Everything is a total mess in Quebec

This is a problem rooted in Canadian culture. We are no longer living in the era of Russian communism. These workers should focus on improving their qualifications to secure better job opportunities. Instead, they are preoccupied with unionizing. Welcome to the competitive world. The issue isn’t Amazon; the real challenge is that there are workers in India, Mexico, or China who are more skilled, work harder, and do so at a fraction of the cost.
