This is why I love my at home manis and press ons!!! I like to be able to chill in my PJs as I take them off when I need to practice my strings instruments. I can have variety, artistry, and switch up whenever I want. Plus I can use them several times and they’re $80 or less 🫣🤭 I used to get expensive gel x for $150+ and I’d be stuck for two weeks with questionable designs, and they would damage my nails so bad!!! I appreciate the hustle and design inspo but I can’t go back 😊 sometimes you don’t even know if the design is going to turn out how you want until they’re finished and then you’re stuck paying with an awkward smile, like a bad haircut 😅

I just had my upper thigh and bikini waxed, pedicure with gel polish and russian manicure with gel polish (long nails with aura airbrush and strawberries and plaid design nail art) ... it came to $160 and thats CANADIAN!

I just spent about $150 on supplies to do my own gel-x nails at home and my first try came out better than my last trip to the salon. Ngl it took me about 5 hours throughout the day (including soak off of previous set) but I was able to take my time and do it perfectly. Not having to worry about being rushed out the door to accommodate a walk in. I may go back to the salon for a spa pedicure because it’s relaxing but I will then do my own gel polish at home. In this economy, that’s just the way it is. Never looking back!

So happy that you know your worth! I was a nail tech during my senior year of high school and during college back in 2000-2004 and I charged 40 for a basic short length acrylic set with no designs… the price easily increased with length and designs.

That was 20 years ago… I’m surprised so many people are shocked by the prices🤦🏽‍♀️
