The flood 🌊 was EVERYWHERE - the whole earth. (There most likely was a second incursion of fallen angels & giants.)

We have accounts from other nations because the flood was not local and the Gilgamesh tablet has the ark as a cube. The Sumerian capital Eridu is thought to be Babel, which was post flood. The Nippur flood tablet has been redated later to around Moses time so these Sumerian stories aren’t necessarily older than the Hebrew account.

We are all searching for understanding.
However, altering the meaning of what our Father in heaven left for us, playing with the idea that we know His mind, understand His reasoning for anything and or twisting the bible (local flood) to suit your own mind simply to "make the most sense" is teetering on the edge of deception sister. INSTEAD of reading the words of men - please go back yet again to read His Word and then pray. He will give you the wisdom and understanding which He desires. HIS WILL be done.

While I do believe you greatly love our Father and are seeking to understand Him, I do feel compelled by the Holy Spirit to write this:

The bible says that the waters covers the "whole earth" so wouldnt that not support a local flood though?

Rob Skiba addressed the giants very well beyond the Watchers... check out his research. There is an inner earth but the Face of the earth relates to the surface of the earth, not "inner earth" or the deeper realms. When was the Antarctic Ring actually covered with ice? We don't know. Aside from a miracle "wall" surrounding the region, a localized flood doesn't jive with topography.

If scripture interprets scripture, which I believe it does, then once we come to understand just what it meant to be “sons of God”, it begins to make so much more sense. 🙏🏻

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

I believe that those who were given the knowledge of God; mindful of Him (Adam, Eve and their line) were the sons of God and when they went and lay with the other people (Adam and Eve weren’t the first people created), they went and mixed in with people who weren’t given the knowledge of God; weren’t His covenant people

The assumption is that the ‘sons of God’ were not human. Adam was a son of God and his line survived with the eight souls of the ark.

Giants in those days. Book of Enoch. Bible quotes book of Enoch and rejected scriptures. And also after that. Means they did the same thing after the flood and God had to destroy them again but not by flood. Also mentions Holy Angels cut down all giant trees to starve them. Most mountains are giant tree trunks and petrified dead giants.

If the waters were higher than Jerusalem, that means they had to be higher than 2400 feet above sea level. What percentage of current dry land is below 2400 elevation? According to Google 70% would be underwater if Jerusalem were underwater. Would that be considered “local”?
