It’s always interesting to watch the difference between European and US pharmacies. The entire pharmaceutical sector differs significantly.
In Europe all tablets are sold in blisters in their carton box. No pharmacist has to count the pills.
One goes to the pharmacy with the prescription and gets the box of the drug with a standard amount of pills (usually 25/50/100/200). The patient’s name isn’t written on the box.

If only the pay was better… I work as a pharm tech, and I’m making only a dollar above minimum wage😭

was a pharm tech for a short time in college and i loved filling the scripts and learning what drugs were for what. what i DIDNT love was all the really angry people who would be screaming at us about their meds or insurance or copay. The hardest part was having to restock meds for people who needed them but couldn’t afford it because they didn’t have insurance.

former pharm tech, i found the counting extremely therapeutic. something about counting by 5s over and over again was very methodical and relaxing haha

Paying techs more would be more inspiring

Looks like Clopidogrel to me. Stock bottle is the right size, and color looks right too.
Oh, I've been doing this job too many years.

i wish the pay was better here in canada for pharm techs, it's always been a dream of mine but it's not a livable wage

Clopidgrel or diclofenac 75mg, leaning more toward diclofenac bc of how shiny it looks.

I got offered a pharmacy tech job at Rite Aid starting at $7.77/hour (about 8 years ago), so if it's still considered essentially a minimum wage job, I don't think anyone should be inspired to do this.

im a pharmacy assistant, so i have to do all this fun stuff too, honestly picking and stuff like that is kind of satisfying, fitting everything into your basket, making sure youve picked all the stuff, counting them out, it works your brain in the nicest way

The only medication I’ve ever received not in its original manufacturer packaging was an antibiotic that had to be compounded into a liquid.

I used to be a pharmacy tech, didnt get paid good enough and the company i worked for treated their employees like crap, like the salaried pharmacists wouldnt be able to take lunch breaks and had to eat while working to make sure everything was done on time. There are other messed up things i didnt realize were a problem until after i left since i was young when i worked there

I make 16.50 as a CVS pharmacy tech. At first that pay felt great (not certified) but now after a while it so much hard work that it doesnt feel enough 😭

As a Walmart pharmacy tech. Last i checked filming inside the pharmacy was a ppi violation and if caught we can be fined pretty heavily.

I’ve been a tech for nearly ten years.

We’ve taken photos of ourselves with each other right outside the pharmacy with everything shut down but never like this.

Makes me nervous for her store.

I have been a pharm tech for five years and I can tell u with absolute certainty we get treated like crap, not by the pharmacist because they r always so nice, but by the job. We r expected to do more than one person should be able to do and when unable to it is reprimanded. The pay isn't nearly enough for the emotional toll working with the public or hospital staff deal you. The job is nice for a while but then it wears u down and it's hard to get back up.

Also, after reading what everyone else is saying it's the same everywhere and I think that's sad cause it's a job that is needed and if treated right and paid well it wouldn't be a bad job.

I don’t know what people are saying but I’ve been a certified tech for 2 years, I started at $18 and get paid almost $21 now and I swear it’s the best college job I could ever have. I’m not breaking my back doing my job and I feel well compensated for what I do!! For reference the minimum wage in my state is 7.25

Brings me back to memories of working as a technician for Wegmans. I loved it!

I'm jealous, clearly her DM doesn't care about the dress code. Hoodies are FORBIDDEN. Something about hiding pill bottles in the hood? Stupid reason to make your employees cold all the time

Now if I could just fill the prescriptions and not have to interact with ppl then it would be the best job
