That's a feature that I hate about iOS -- Bluetooth is always in discovery mode when you have the option menu open. It truly is a security hazard.

btw, this fkd up a galaxy s20's bluetooth radio. not sure why but this attack causes the phone to have weak bt connection to any paired device especially in areas where there is a large number of bt devices running.
If phone is connected to my cars or bt earphones/earbuds, at a point (especially in high pop areas) the connection(s) becomes intermittent then shortly after drop altogether. Reconnecting will establish a connection but shortly after drops again. The issue can be temporarily remedied by turning off the bt radio on the phone, then reconnect.
My guess is this exploit does something to the phone's bt radio modem config, hopefully that's all it is, reflashing the phone radio fw or the entire phone altogether should restore, havent troed it yet. Worst case scenario, it damaged the bt radio hw, not sure if possible from a remote device but i do know from using a fork of an ASOP running on an S6, testing a bt DoS on a tile device caused a similar issue on that S6 that was hw-based and permanent.

you can actually run this firmware on esp32 devices. this means you can buy a cheap m5stack cardputer and upload this firmware (or something like nemo) and get similar results. cheaper alternative from a flipper, but has less support and not as capable
