Windows 10 and 8.1 Troubleshoot Compatibility in Compatibility Mode Tutorial

Sometimes we need to install programs that were designed for earlier
operating systems e.g. Windows 95. Compatibility issues can be very
irritating but there are methods to run such older programs. To run such
programs in Windows 10 we need to either use the troubleshoot
compatibility tool or manually adjust the compatibility settings for the
application file or the installer. This video shows you how to use
compatibility mode in Windows 10 (and 8.1 and 8 or earlier).

sir I am having similar issue to this so please help merecently I bought a pc game and to install it requires Windows XP/Vista/7 (mine is windows 10).The game has been installed however the application (exe.file) when I try to open it says the program has  stopped working. I was had an issue where the pallets/panels were too tiny to make out what it was every time I open up a software. I tried this method yesterday and it worked. However now, every time I troubleshoot compatibility settings, it does not seem to work. Does anyone know how to rectify this?

I had a version of windows 10 I used the compatibility troubleshooter and the program still won't run. It works just fine on windows 8 and windows 7. It says the problem fixed but obviously it isn't working. Windows 10 compatibility trouble shooter doesn't seem to do anything.
