Sometimes we need to install programs that were designed for earlier
operating systems e.g. Windows 95. Compatibility issues can be very
irritating but there are methods to run such older programs. To run such
programs in Windows 10 we need to either use the troubleshoot
compatibility tool or manually adjust the compatibility settings for the
application file or the installer. This video shows you how to use
compatibility mode in Windows 10 (and 8.1 and 8 or earlier).

Hello today will have a quick look at how to use the Windows
compatibility settings and also the troubleshooter, let's assume you
have a program for about four, five, 10 years back. For example ran on
with XP and is having a bit of difficulty either installing in windows
10 or eight end or basically, it's installed, but it's not running
properly, or it doesn't run the screen looks funny how can you need to
use this okay with the proverbial WinRAR okay. It works fine. Only about
windows and show you how to use the compatibility but OKC right click on
it and you can do the troubleshoot compatibility it would look through
the entire programme settings et cetera and see whether it needs
anything. Okay, you could try recommended settings, or you can use the
troubleshoot program and basically could say, for example, it doesn't
display correctly or at work fine before different kind of windows or
require special programs. Okay, or a cancer problem, listen, and you go
ahead and find different different solutions. The manual option is
basically the governor click properties compatibility and now we could
run this program. For example worked in Windows XP or all the way back
to Windows 95 in working Windows 95. Okay, maybe the colour settings
account rounded the new colour settings, so you need to have in a
reduced colour mode. Occasionally, a bit or 16-bit okay a different
screen size. Maybe the screen maximum in those days was set for six 40 x
4 80 resolution, the program is designed for that you might want to have
it run on that specific resolution or the scaling is working or it needs
administrator privileges okay. Right. By doing that, and then click okay
or change settings for all users. Make sure it is for every single user
throughout your operating system. There may be other users, they can log
onto a 61 for all users doing the same and that was sort that problem
okay are Hope that helped arm. Thanks for watching
