Can't i change from monarchy to a republic?

i can’t change my government, i play as i south american tribe, so am i stuck forever as a tribe now??

ARUMBA! you can change government type as a republic, you just have to change it to another republic-type government. There are loads of different governments that republics can change to, administrative republic, somthing about a dictator, revolutionary republic and others as well that I'm forgetting.

When I click on Change government I only have reforms, I can't change government type from despotate to kingdom

I used to do that with with CK2 to EU3. You can create em by console in CK2, then transfer the save. I played my asian games like this, because the vanilla European powers were just too weak

yes, when rebels rise up, look to your stability screen and see what their demands are. If you see they want a republic, let them take your capital and you can then give them what they want.
