Parallelogram Area : Side-angle-side (visual proof)

This is a short animation showing a standard fact about how to find the area of a parallelogram using the lengths of the two sides and the angle between them. This fact will be used in future videos showing the AM-GM inequality and the Cauchy Schwarz inequality (and possibly others).

A handy side-effect of which is that the area of a triangle can also be determined from side-angle-side being ½ab·sinθ

I don't recall how this was demonstrated to me all those years ago, but I somehow doubt it was this succinct 🤣
