This past week I flew with one of my golfing buddies to play golf at the legendary Cypress Point Club in Carmel, CA. Before we get airborne I get my friend Dave up to speed on emergency procedures and how to use the Cirrus CAPS parachute system. Full video of the flight will be posted on Thanksgiving morning.

As a Pilot, and soon to be a Cirrus owner. I know what is going threw your mind and the amount of knowledge one must retain and put to use to function grater then just an “OK” pilot. All of the Cirrus Pilot videos I watch are the same, PERFECTIONIST is an understatement. However watching your passenger made me bust out laughing, the look on his face when he is scratching his chin he must be thinking to himself, “rockets, missiles, parachutes, pushing buttons, blue buttons, red switches bad day for who?” Hell of a safety briefing for a passenger one in which I will adopt for my passengers. GREAT JOB....Roy

Steve, that is a very good safety briefing. Very detailed. Likely gives your passenger more confidence.

Steve, that "Blue, Red, Red, Red" thing at the beginning was awesome! As a Cirrus pilot myself, I will absolutely be using that with passengers in the future! Thanks.

Wonderful. Are you sure you're not a professional pilot in disguise ! Happy Thanksgiving !

Steve, Love your videos. Your positivity is infectious . In this video you even flew over my house in Agoura. I have a question. Since your home base in Santa Monica is decidedly anti-GA and there is a lack of hangar space. How do you store your Cirrus? Could you do a quick video on how you store and protect it from the elements? Thanks.

With some passengers, you might not want to talk so much about emergencies. I'd still brief them on the use of the blue level button, the parachute, and cutting the fuel (and the use of their seat belts), but sometimes too much information about emergency procedures can make people nervous.

Curious, why cut off the mixture + the fuel selector? The fuel selector is further back in the fuel system pathway, so I can see why that would reduce the chance of a fuel spill upon impact, but why worry about the mixture knob then?

Hey Steve!
Love it. Can you answer a headset question? We use the Bose ANRs. How do you connect the audio to the go pros?
