Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain.

I mentioned this book in my "Books I Need to Finish in 2017" video and it prompted a lot of discussion.

This book discusses the power of introverts and how society has been set up to disvalue us. In reality, however, introverts bring an entierely new perspective and skillset that is necessary for us to be successful as a person, co-worker, or peer.

I have a feeling that a lot of us on Booktube and Goodreads tend to lean more towards being introverts so I think this book will be very beneficial and inspiration. I know for me in particular I have been having problems with one of the members of my program who has given me a hard time about me being "soft-spoken" and I think this is the book I need to read right now.

I have already started reading it and it is amazing!

People have told me so many times "you're quiet" as though it is a bad thing. I have never been rude enough to say "you're loud" back, but often have that in my internal monologue. I adored this books when I found it years ago.

This may be 4 years later comment. But, I just started to read this book while putting it off for two years. I was struggling with debt and other stress. I couldn’t stay focused reading this book. 2022, I’m now ready mentally to read it! Great video!
