Bless you, random stranger, for making this video! This is a structural design flaw in the Aroma cooker—I wish I'd known and preemptively taped around both the wires there. When I was fixing mine, I could see the other wire was also getting bent, so I went ahead and wrapped it with some electrical tape too. Cheers!

Thank you for the solution. Also just to add t it the part under the lid is also removable and that gives easy access to the wiring that leads to the temp sensor To remove the lead there are two metal prongs that holds the lid to the body and they can easily be removed by pulling them out. The rest just need a petit flat head to pry plastic circle that holds the aluminum piece out and it just pops out and easily popped back in when done. Thanks again.

It solved my problem in a different model, but in my case the wire was broken way inside the lid, so I had to pry open the black cover under the lid and then I was actually able to solder the wire together. I had to use two flat screwdrivers and pry one into the edge of the inside cover and then in that opening sneak the other one and so on until I went around about half the circumference and I was able to pry it open.
