Hello dr. I have one question for you. Pregabalin is thought to work by binding to certain pathways in the nervous system, specifically voltage-gated calcium channels which modulate the influx of calcium into nerves of the central nervous system. This inhibits the release of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, glutamate, norepinephrine, serotonin, substance P, and others. Is this mean that Lyrica increase serotonin and dopamine?

Psychiatrists can do both therapy AND prescribe medications + treatment (e.g ECT). And I’m not sure about Psychologists and what conditions they can diagnose, but psychiatrists can diagnose pretty much any mental illnesses such as EUPD, Schizophrenia etc
