America Is NOT Ready For This! National Security Warning

The United States is not ready for the most serious security threats it has faced since World War 2. That was the somber warning from defense experts to a Senate committee.
The heads of the Commission on the National Defense Strategy told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the U.S. is nowhere near prepared for the dangerous multi-threat environment it's facing.
"The public has no idea how great the threats are," Commission Chairwoman, former California congresswoman Jane Harman said. She and Vice Chairman Ambassador Eric Edelman issued the dire warning to the committee Tuesday.
They told senators that the U.S. cannot presently handle the wide range of threats from its many potential adversaries and that American civilians are likely to be among the first victims in the next war.

Here's a thought! Stop using the internet, stop using cards, use cash instead, go shopping instead of doing it online, quit putting everything from doctors appointments to nail appointments online, use handwritten paper copies instead, etc! The internet is no longer a "convenience" anymore!

Dale hurt, I was talking about this back in the late 1990s only to have people in authority say "this can never happen to this great nation of the USA" and they suggested that I keep my mouth shut and don't cause no trouble . Imagine that !! calling me a troublemaker foreseeing any problems that would arise out of the internet system. 30 years later you now are confirming but I think it is now too late

As a retired Post Sales Data Support Engineer for a well known internet service provider I know for a fact that the United States can cut the ties with public networking and switch to private networking across the whole continental US. for all government entities and public works organizations. I don't understand why they haven't already implemented this action. Remember, we, the United States started and controlled the World Wide Web from the beginning and when it comes down to brass tacks we don't need or have to be world wide connected. Our government should move to pull the plug for any and all foreign access to our networks.
