Thank you ever so much for that explanation. When you break a problem down into logical steps it's amazing how it suddenly becomes more manageable. This will definitely be of great help when I sit my Maths exams in June.

Hello Simon, excellent explanation on how to solve this problem applying the Alternate Segment Theorem. A question: can you explain the Alternate Segment Theorem further? I.e., why are the 58 degree angles necessarily equal / does AST require that the chords internal to the circle are both equal in length / what if the internal chords are not equal in length / etc. -- thanks and cheers

Simon can you do a video based on this question:
R and S are two points on a circle, centre O.
TS is a tangent to the circle.
Angle RST = x.
Prove that angle ROS = 2x.
You must give reasons for each stage of your working.

It's question 6 on the circle theorems sheet on maths wrap. Plz help ~:D
