LG LDF5545ST Dishwasher Review

LG asked me to review their new dishwasher for them... this was a great opportunity to get familiar with a really nice dishwasher. It was a welcome upgrade from the LG Dishwasher that we had... they keep producing great appliances.

Bought this LG dishwasher 3 weeks ago. Works awesome, no problems. Cleans very, very well. Made my stainless Kitchen Aide dishwasher that was very expensive, seem like a piece of crap. LG ranks high with Bosh and I have no complaints after purchasing and installing the LG dishwasher.

The other one was just 3 years old? Why did you have to replace it?

Buyer beware. Bought this exact model about 2 years and 3 months ago. Worked great until yesterday. Control panel acting up-lights flashings and alarms going off. Research stating this is a common problem and is due to condensation accumulation in the control board. LG demanding a a receipt (which I didn’t keep) before they will repair. New control board costs $170. Apparently the LG reputation is overblown. Live and learn.

I do have an older LG that I can quickly add a dish, close the door and will restart without pressing anything! plus food we need power, not quieter

I have this model and it will stop working with flashing and beeping when I hit START it shows count down from 4
I called LG to ask for a service to check my LG but they told me restart it by taking the plug 🔌 off for about a minute and it should do the trick
It didn’t do the trick
Do you have an idea what should I do to make it not to stop 🛑 please reply

Are you still happy with this dishwasher? It has very mixed reviews online. I liked the look of it. Some complaints about not having a heating element for hotter water.

Does it still work? We bought a top of the line whirlpool gold series dishwasher for $1500.. 2 yrs later its completely dead and poor support/expensive fix from whirlpool, not worth it. Looking for a dishwasher that will last 5+ years.

My LG door hinge is completely loose and the door just slams open, can someone help me?

There is a light next to the clock with a Sun ☀️ picture it blinks, makes a sound and shuts off. Anyone know why this light flashes and then shuts the dishwasher off?

Both our racks failed due to rust. Lower was replaced under warranty and the upper is rusting badly now. Over $200 CAD to replace. We've had the machine 2.5 years. I wouldn't buy LG again. But, who still makes appliances that last? Anyone?

I can't find a manual on this to tell me why two of those middle lights are flashing and my dishwasher will power up, but won't start. Cleaned the filter, reset. Still nothing. And I can't find the manual. Help!

My dishwasher won't start. it says C.L which I assumed meant child lock.. do you have experience with the same problem.

Absolute junk...mine is dead after 3.5 years (plus 2 other service calls) with no power. Also had similar rusting issues as others plus the control panel cracked. AVOID!!

Does not dry well at all. I have to use a towel even hours after it's finish. REally bad dishwasher. I am returning it and will buy a Bosh.
