Yes! Now I can play until my eyes falls clean out of the socket!

On a serious note, it is very good to know that these exist. Thank you for this video.

I went in to this video thinking you were gonna show me a powerbank to have in my pocket while have it connected to the controllers but this was an eye opening solution i didn't know about.

Thanks Rich! Didn't know these existed and this solves the 1 issue i was having with the psvr 2

I would recommend waiting until Sony sells these controllers separately. Because currently the only ones available are the ones you get included with PSVR 2 itself. So if 1 of them breaks or the battery is damaged you can't replace it or even play games.

you just earned a sub for that video. i was going to buy a small light weight vest, and run the USB cable down my arms and go that route with lager power banks . These capsules seem much quicker and easier to use. Sony really needs to come up with a after market product to solve this though.

Word of warning: I plugged a 5000ah external battery to my sense controllers. It worked for one night. The second night, my right co troller showed it wasn’t charging. I set it back down on the charging dock and it still wouldn’t charge. I reset my PS5, and plugged it in and it started charging again. The external battery on the right controller was also very hot to the touch. These things can cause damage. I’m just glad mine is charging properly again.

Great idea. Im sure someone out there could create a 3D printed housing to clip onto the controllers also as i would be concerned about knocking the controller on the body or an external object to then damage the the port on the controller.

The controllers are now much heavier and the battery does not sit properly, for example if you move your hand up and down, the battery has up to 2mm of play.

I just got so annoyed at the battery life was in the middle of an online game and my controller died after just a few hours. Great idea! FYI, the Amazon US link you have is dead.

Nice thanks for the info. Unfortunately I can’t play VR more than an hour or I get dizzy lol

I have tried this and it doesn't work with the 2 2.1A 5000mah powerbanks I bought, no charge indicator - it works with a much larger battery, which is too heavy - maybe there is a minimum power level before it will charge???

The funny thing is most of the items in UK on Amazon say currently out of stock and don’t know when will come back in good idea however I am sure Sony will resolve this

Great idea, if you hit something with this contraption, you got yourself a pretty expensive thing to fix . Standalone controller is enough to play couple hours a day, other time is for doing different things .

I wanted to try out before i posted but if anyone went through what i did with the vr2 controllers dying on you when your invested in a game I've found a solution. I found the dual USB C multi charging cable 4ft on Amazon for about $10 and the 12' USB 2.0 A-Male to A-Female Extension cable at Best Buy for $10 I also seen at Walmart. Just thought I'd share.

Yeh, mine bricked the left controller. No light. I purchased and used the exact same chargers after watching this video. (Genuinely, I have no alterior reason to say this and have nothing against the channel, I actually thought this was a great idea tbh).

They did work great for 1 night, then whilst I was using the headset, the left controller went dead and never charged again.

So I came back because I shared this in a group but people started asking like it was some psvr2 Disease lol how have you had any problems long-term wise yet? I want to order these.

the shitty part about this is when people accidentally hit a real-world object accidentally cracking that poor USB-C port on the controller. With a custom 3D-printed bracket it could actually work. But I would advice everyone to skip it for the time being. it works as a "concept", but not as a proper solution.

I wish I had these 🙄 I’m currently waiting for them to charge

Another tip is to turn off haptic feedback if you really don’t need it in some games.
