I’m pretty sure the “from back then” statement is in regards to Yuji being a cursed womb child. That or, and I’m putting my tin foil hat on here, is a reference to the last line of the most recent chapter where Sukuna says yuji’s face looks like someone’s from the hometown of the exorcists. I think we’re gonna find out Yuji’s bloodline is much more important to the history of jujutsu than we originally had thought
