China is the Middle Kingdom. It was the richest and most advanced country for a long time in its long history. Why would the Chinese expand and move into other less developed places in ancient times? So most international exchanges were cultural and trade. China was and is large country with huge population. The leaders focus their energy in improving the living standard, health care, education and job prospects for their fellow citizens. Unlike the USA, the UK, Canada and Australia which spend so much time and effort in meddling other countries' affairs. It is so good to have a capable one party state system getting things done quickly for the good of the people.
