I had mine done 5 weeks ago after three years especially, of pure hell with my womb. Any information I’m armed with now has come from google, Medical pages and a few trusted people on YouTube about getting back to exercise. I’m shocked at the way doctors treat this like you’re having a tooth removed, I was let out the next day ( I felt great but was given ZERO information about how best to recover) I’m basically listening to my body, reading up on a lot. I’m 44, pre menopausal (despite what my doctors say 🙃) and honestly this surgery has been life changing for me. I only wish I had it done sooner 👌🏻

So glad I found you cause I'm not gonna lie. I'm scared going through this very young. At least it feels very young. I'm only 46 but I'm having all kinds of these problems never had periods in my life. Saw female doctors for years. OB-GYN. Was having so much pain. I was only 11 years old, it turns out I had endometriosis after 7 surgeries. Now, I'm my children going through menopause. They said I don't know where I started period never had one talk about scary. Clueless Not real sure what to do cancer tube. I am my family, every member literally. All my brothers, sisters, mom, dad, grandparents and both sides. Aunt Anne and Uncle getting a little nervous. Not sure what to do

Got Robotic done four days ago I’m 37 and still in a lil pain. The belly button is the worse! The other incisions are just sore. I can get up and move around pretty well. It’s just the gas and peeing that really makes the stomach uncomfortable. Other than that I’m so glad I got the surgery❤

Horrible terrible guidelines/advice. "...by the end of week one, be off pain medications and back to 80% of normal...". I am 57 and just had my robotic assisted hysterectomy one week ago. I am nowhere near 80% back to normal. I still take Advil/Tylenol every 4-5 hours (and occasionally Vicoden for breakthrough pain), and I fatigue easily. I asked my surgeon's office, and they explained that each woman's healing is different. The adage remains true: don't compare yourself to other people's rulers.

I wasn’t lucky enough to have a laparoscopic hysterectomy 17 years ago. The did full incision right where my C-Section scare was. That being said I had a pretty great recovery considering. It was actually 100 times easier than my C-Section recovery

I'm 3 days PO total robotic hysterectomy and cystectomy. I'm still in pain pretty bad. I was admitted after surgery because I needed an epidural for pain. It's been very rough😢

I was told the reason I’m having trouble urinating is because I have a large 11.4 cm fibroid on my uterus. I was recommended to have surgery in the next two weeks. Do you know if of qualify for a vaginal hysterectomy and can I get an epidural and not be put to sleep?

Ha nothing about my hysterectomy was "normal" I just got home from the hospital yesterday, I had to have a second surgery because of complications, because the complications I had are so rare I can't find any advice how to ease my pain and recovery.

I want to know what to expect as far as bleeding is concerned. How many pads do I have to buy?
