And for whatever it's worth... according to Flt Radar 24 at the time of the comment, there's only UAE flt 145 flying northbound along the Iran-Iraq border on Iranian space side and very little traffic heading either southbound or north on the Iraqi side.

There's a Beech King Air 350ER reconnaissance aircraft orbiting near Kirkuk and USN BLKCAT6 recon drone is simultaneously heading across the Med towards the West coast of Lebanon / Israel.

Lastly, a RFF flt An-124 departed an Airbase from Syria just a few hours ago, heading back towards home... perhaps either delivering gear to reinforce sites in Syria(?), or returning some heavy equipment back home in a timely fashion ??
