Показать описание
Join Buglife's Canvey Wick Community Warden, Jo, and Engagement Officer, Kaitlyn for our very first Canvey Wick Podcast (or should that be Bugcast?)
Let Jo and Kaitlyn take you for a guided walk around the first brownfield site to be protected specifically for its invertebrates - Canvey Wick.
Taking you on a circular route they will explore this Site of Special Scientific Interest, often referred to as "England's Rainforest", taking in the sights and sharing information, folklore, myth and legend associated with the species that call Canvey home this National Storytelling Week.
***************
Canvey Wick is a 93 hectare Site of Special Scientific Interest on Canvey Island in Essex. Rich in plants, insects and animals, there are more species per square metre here than any other site in the UK. It has even been referred to as ‘England’s Rainforest’.
