Barry Sanders is a stud! And I’ve always made the simple argument that Elway was the greatest athlete to play the quarterback position… no quarterback could scramble, throw the ball, make plays happen out of the pocket and out of nothing, better than Elway… he brought more excitement to a game than any other player that I have ever seen! He made a lot of mistakes and tried to force the ball, which is something that Brady, Montana as well as Manning did less. Overall, one would be remiss in arguing that Tom Brady is not the greatest to ever play the position, but I believe that means he has had the greatest success, and he’s actually continuing to do so, and at age 44ish, is absolutely unbelievable!

ITA with Barry! Before all the inflated passing stats, Elway was the only dude I saw who I thought was in the class of Montana. With Elway, the Broncos always appear to have a chance to win.

If not for Tom Brady than he would be in the discussion but not even Payton and Montana is in the discussion. Brady is by far the greatest QB ever and not even close.
