He’s one player that could play in any generation and still dominate

Best running back I've seen in my lifetime. This dude deserves Super Bowl rings.

Been watching since the '70s, most entertaining back of all time.

We'll probably never see another back with the combination of moves, vision, balance, strength, burst and creativity that Barry had. It's just unreal.

John Lynch once said "Superman couldn't tackle Barry in a phone booth"

No other running back in the history of the NFL could do what we just witnessed. Barry definitely had the greatest talent of any running back in history.

That initial move to avoid the D-Line was done so quick. He had to process the hole closed, and decide to spin all with less than a second. Insane.

Im happy that i got to watch him in real time.. there was nothing like him since or ever. When he got the ball even at 12 yrs old i knew i was watching something special..

Barry Sanders is truly unbelievable. In this clip it is hard to believe he made each of those moves, not only physically but in terms of decisions. I missed Sanders's career at the time so I am happy to see these clips posted.

What’s so crazy in Barry’s highlights is the amount of times you see a handful of defenders in the Lions backfield like they live there.

He made me love football. Most people loved E.Smith. but I just wanted to be like Barry

I was playing with the Chiefs and our second preseason game was against Detroit. We were watching game film before practice. Defensive coordinator, Bill Cowher, turned on the film. The room was so damn quiet. The late great Derrick Thomas, Neil Smith, Deron Cherry and the rest of our defense just sat there. There wasn’t a sound as we watch Barry run through defenses. Then Cowher said in one sentence, “ there he is boys.” I was a rookie and the respect that followed Barry wasn’t just on the field. I damn sure got his autograph after the game!

Met him once. He's wider than he looks. No fat. Not tall (maybe 5'9) He's WIDE . Muscular wide. Scary strong. Shook his hand and knew I wasn't test his very calm demeanor. Very nice guy. Thanks again for all the great memories Barry. 👍

He was good. So thankful I got to see his career. He deserved a better organization. Best running back of all time.

Many running backs have come through the ranks over the years, but there has never been another one remotely like Barry Sanders. One of a kind.
