Allods Online - First Impressions and Review

Let's go through Allods Online and see if it's still worth playing these days. I'll be testing out both the F2P and P2P versions of the game to get a more clearer image.
This MMORPG has been around for a decade already and it was quite popular back in the day. Sadly, it went through a lot of hard times during it's first years of activity.
Hopefully this Allods Online first impressions and review video will help you discover or re-discover a lost hidden gem among the MMORPGs.
While the game had and still has it's issues, we can't deny the fact that there's was a lot of passion put in this game.

I played this back then, i really liked it, the graphics and classes and the world itself, but didn't really play for too long as i realized how "pay2win" it is

I remember playing in the Open Beta. It had a massive population, everyone was excited to be playing it... then it went live with the pay to win mechanics and the game became a ghost city overnight, lol.

If you don't care about being in the top 1% of players and simply want to enjoy gameplay, it's still really decent game, especially lore wise. I'd say it's easily all time top 3 story narrative/lore mmo

I wish I could have fun playing this game. I have a very deep connection to it, as it was a game that I played all the time with my dad. But I don't want to play with the p2w.

A note from a Russian vet: NO.
Even if they pay you for plaing the game, don't do this. You can love this series as much as you want to (and I'm one of those fools who had so many unforgettable memories conntected to the Allods universe), but it's been in stagnation for more than 4-5 years with developers doing absolutely nothing but draining players' wallets. The Allods golden age has long gone, so it's time to let it go and say 'good bye'

Played this when it first came out. Was a necro with wandering fever hehe. Friends and I had a ship, and we did a big raid boss, then I quit.

I tried this game like 10+ years ago. My friends and I were looking for different mmos other than WoW. We all played together for about a week. Then they all quit. I kept going for about another week. Then quit too. It was just way to much of a time consuming grind to lvl. Especially if you didnt spend money.

I remember the good ol days in the Gipat patch (level 42). Back then hitting level cap was a chore but it was worth it end game. Was pay2win but you could still do well for yourself with a little effort and trading.

I played this game a lot back 2009, i quit after 2-3 years, nerf was too often and p2w was with each update more obvious. But yeah, happy times in raids and dungeon back than.

I fell in love with this game recently. Its super under appreciated. The f2p version is one of the worst out there but the p2p version is fantastic. Its got problems, but theres nothin i can do about that

I haven't played Allods Online but I played Rage of Mages back in the day which apparently takes place in the same universe. I was looking for a similar game to that when I found this game. I wasn't sure if I should start playing this or not, but while the game looks good, neither f2p nor p2p option sounds that exciting to play in 2021. I think my quest to find similar games to RoM will continue.

No mention of the rage of mages? Which is where the story of allods came from... Allods has a really really good story. I used to play on the sub server. I haven't played for about 4 years but I had a blast while playing it with my guild Anger management and avarive. Think Melotta still posts vids I have a few if you wanna check them. I'd love to come back.
