We have already had male birth control for years. It’s called League of Legends.

I love how the guy has the gull to say " I don't like that it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get your boys back to market" when women's birth control can take months to wear off, plus serious health risks

“I’m pregnant, it’s yours”
“No tf it ain’t I was on birth control”

Am I weird for thinking 4-6 weeks is not a problem AT ALL? I mean…planning for a baby is often done years in advance. My husband and I have had a plan on when to start trying for kids since before we got married.

I think 4-6 weeks to get off is not a bad idea. It forces you to stop and think, and means the forgetting to take one doesn’t end really badly.

Birth control for men needs to be combined with drug that would enhance performance in the bedroom. That would be a commercial success.

If you think 4-6 weeks is too long to wait after deciding to have kids, then you're not ready for the commitment of raising children

Waiting 4-6 weeks for your "boys to get back in action" once you decide to have a baby sounds like a good time to think about the minimum 18 year commitment you're about to sign up for.

4-6 weeks seems like a ridiculously short time to have a problem with. That's not even two months.

If you can't wait 4-6 weeks, don't sign up for 18 years 💀

The real issue in getting a male birth control is in the mechanics of it.

For female birth control you are essentially yoinking away the finishline for the sex cells. You prevent a fertilized egg from implanting into the womb. The egg and sperm cells are not directly effected.

While for males you have to find a way to make his sperm unable to get to the egg cell in the first place without permanently removing the ability from the man's sperm long term.

Married for half a year and would gladly do this if it's safe and not permanent. 4-6 weeks is nothing for making a decision about getting kids. I'm not going to be like - I must get them now. There is a 9 month wait from conception anyways 😅

I honestly understand any man or woman not wanting to use pills because the side effects sound wild

Why is it bad if it takes 4 to 6 weeks to be fertile again?
Shouldn't having children be a planned thing...?

I am a huge advocate for male contraception. All we reliably have are condoms or vasectomies. Nothing in the middle.

I once proclaimed at a social thing that of course I would take a male birth control pill, and a female friend who worked for a big pharma company said: "a male birth control pill would never get through any get okay'd. I said: "because it's for men?" And she said:"No, because the female birth control pill would never be approved if it where invented today ; the risks and side effects would be completely unacceptable"

Wait, so men can't tolerate a 4-6 weeks wait? When female birth control pills are like every day over months??

People are just obsessed with having sex free of natural consequence. It’s out of control.
