this was the first film that made me feel like I was watching the first Guardians of the Galaxy and was a pleasant surprise. Shame it never picked up any momentum theatrically.

Because of this movie, I’m now looking to get back into DND. It was THAT good. Great ensemble, awesome set pieces.

Me and my son watched this, he loved it and then said he was really sad we wouldn't be getting a sequel as it bombed.

This is one of those where the sequel (if good) could blow away the first one at the box office.

Same applies with Transformers One.

The masses are sleeping on these great movies, but streaming is getting them the audience they deserve.

The CEO of Paramount Pictures said last year that a sequel could happen only if they could lower the budget. The question is could you actually make a Dungeons and Dragons film with a lower budget especially with the kind of set pieces and visual effects needed?

I have to admit, I still know absolutely nothing about the D&D game. But, I saw the movie in theatres (mainly because I liked the trailers) and loved it. I call it a modern day Princess Bride (which I admit are big words, but well deserved).

Paramount did have the foresight to green light Mutant Mayhem 2 bc of how many people found and really liked it after its theatrical run, hopefully the same thing could happen to D&D and Transformers One… we saw how big of a boost Netflix gave Spiderverse w how successful Across the Spiderverse ended up being

This movie was such a breath of fresh air. So much fun. There was no agenda or boxes being checked: just a fun adventure with a rag-tag group of heroes battling a magical villain (plus the Easter egg of the D+D animated show) Hope it gets a part 2.

Saw this back when sunset had the amc theaters there and the audience loved this movie and I proudly own it on 4K
