In this second part of file management workflow I'm going through my experience setting up and using a 10Gbps NAS. More specifically Synology's 1819+

Hey Dimitris, same setup here. Runs well for more than 6 months now, and the speed with the 10gb is great. The microtiks get extremely hot, but they are fanless also which is great.

I swear your videos are targeting me personally. Your 2 year review of the iMac Pro convinced me to get one for my business and it improved my life by a huge factor (+ opened me up to iOS/MacOS development which now makes 80% of my revenue). Then you introduced me to Shapr3D which got me to purchase an iPad to use it on and help me land a client for a custom 3D Model viewer for his business. Now that I'm looking for a way to improve my file management (till now I used 128 GB sdcards for moving projects between my iMac pro and other devices) there you go, another spot on video.

I extensively use the synology drive app on my 1819+ on all my macs ( specifically my laptop ) to help me sync them for WIP.
Using the SSD cache it is amazingly fast. Been using Synology for about 10 years.
