Not a huge fan of the audience in the studio. I understand wanting to meet and interact with fans but I feel it doesn't add anything to the Youtube viewing experience. If anything it takes away from it. I've always really enjoyed how this channel feels like you're watching a group of friends interacting. The audience makes it feel like you're watching daytime television. Love this channel and will always continue to be a supporter but I hope they take into account the feedback from the Youtube audience.

This channel has so much going for it and engages with the community constantly it really doesn't need the live studio audience. I get it that the new studio was an opportunity to try something new but as soon as the live audience is there everything just looks so forced and staged. I've always loved Sorted for its openness and honesty, putting a live audience takes away from all of that when it becomes one big performance.

Love Sorted, Love this channel and I’ve been an avid watcher for probably 7/8 years now. Only saying this cause I care but the crowd sound removes the comforting, relaxing, intimate vibe that Sorted videos are and it becomes much more TV like and performative - almost unnerving.

Will never, ever think negatively to people trying new things and experimenting but I just hope they take on board the obvious feedback and maybe keep the (successful) live projects and YouTube a little separate. And I know in time the new studio will become more homely and familiar, as I agree for now it feels a little cold and warehouse like. Maybe too much blue light?

I hope this doesn’t come across negatively, cause I love and support this channel above all else! X

I hate to say it, but I'm also not loving the new format. I don't think a live studio audience adds anything for us, the folks watching at home. On at least one occasion, Baz and Spaff were "mugging" towards the camera/audience in a way they've never done before, which feels really unnatural. The acoustics of this episode are also way off, but that's something your sound people will have figured out by episode two or three in the new space. If the point of the live audience was for the sense of community engagement, I would say it's not necessary. We feel engaged by the team. Not only do you have multiple video formats where the suggestions come from us, but someone (if I recall, usually Mike?) is here in the comments section to engage with the community even further.

Maybe I've missed an explanation somewhere but I don't really understand what having the live audience is about... For your regular YouTube formats I agree with many of the commenters here: Not a fan. Sound is one thing (personally didn't bother me as much), but the shift in how you guys interact in front of an audience vs. just the cameras is HUGE to me and it really feels less chill and homey and is just a less pleasant viewing experience overall than what we are used to (and love). Love the channel and I hope the feedback is appreciated 🫶

Not for me guys, have been watching your videos for years and as others have commented the dynamic that so many of us find so enjoyable changes when you're 'performing' in front of an audience to almost feeling forced in a way. That and I find the 'laugh track' esque crowd only serves to cheapen the otherwise great comedy you guys normally have. All said from a good place, love what you guys have done for a long time!

Can’t say that I am loving the studio audience either. It takes away from the personality and folksiness of the lads. IMHO

Agree with most of the other comments. My 2 cents are that before the show felt cosy, a comfort watch. Now it feels too cold and clinical. I think the lighting and sound both contribute to this, as does the presence of the audience. Lighting is something I haven't seen mentioned in the comments but I think it's a big factor.

I don't get this obessions with Live audiences/ live shows etc.. It doesn't feel relaxed anymore, it feels like you are overacting now and the dynamic is off. It's more of an act than being your true selves which are always funnier and genuine. The people from home can really feel the difference. However, I know it must be hard to figure out what new things you wanna do, but i dont think we need new formats/ things, there is a reason why your old videos are more popular. We still like you guys, keep up the good work, just wanted to write a comment as we watch you every day.

The echo of the new studio is intense. I’m hoping you all will get some sound foam installed soon, right now Ebbers especially sounded like he was recording from a garage.

To be completely honest, the "studio" in Ben's flat was better than this. Fitted your style much better than this open theatre.

Loving the new studio. But I think something you guys should take into account is that this channel's success is rooted in the dynamic you all have with each other. When you're in front of a live audience, that dynamic DOES change, even if it's slight. Whether that's a good or bad thing, I suppose time will tell, but it's something people will certainly notice. It also might be worth considering whether you want to develop new formats that are created with a live audience in mind, instead of just adding the audience to a format people already enjoy, like this one.

Dreaded this since you showed off the new office. Completely changes the vibe of the show when you're trying to entertain people live, you go from some good friends competing and hanging to daytime television hosts putting on a performance. Which is what you were doing before to a degree, but it's way different in how you act. I get it for Pass it On. Still not for me, but I at least understand that some people like extra chaos or cheering in the chaos show. But here? This is one of your most chill shows, the extra energy and background chatter and peaking microphones hurts the appeal while adding nothing. Though I do like the studio, the lighting and set are cool!

At first I thought you had an AI laugh track. I find the audience moves this into theater. And I’ve always felt that you were inviting me into your kitchen, now I’m no longer special, but in the back of a crowd, looking over their shoulders. And they laugh at the wrong timing, don’t like audience noise

i thought the guys were a bit more performative and less genuine in this, then i see comments that it's cuz there's an audience. that does explain it. this content is people reacting to new food and there's a big difference between the reaction of eating a new food, and eating a new food with an audience staring at you. i can see an audience working for pass it on and stuff like that. but this kinda thing does not need a studio audience

Gonna have to chime in and agree with 80% of the comments, the studio audience is a huge mistake. This is more like a pantomime :(

hope that studio audience isn't gonna be a regular thing. listening to that in the background is so offputting

Global Street Food is such a good series! Might I suggest an alternate scoring system?
1 point if you get within 1000 miles
2 points if your guess shares a border
3 points for a correct guess.

This way, if the normals are way off, like 4k miles away, they don't get rewarded, but get a little bonus if they're close like Jamie with Zimbabwe.

I've never been one to comment on a Youtube video but I just felt I should give my opinion on the new studio and set-up. First off, I like the studio but something just feels slightly off about it, I think it might be the colours/ sounds but it just feels a little more cold compared to the old videos. A lot of people have already said this but the crowd doesn't do it for the video, it makes it feel like I am watching live tv, which is very distracting. What I've always loved about your videos is that it had this warm and welcoming atmosphere, like I was seeing a group of friends just enjoying themselves, this feels more produced and stilted. I love the channel and your videos so I hope this isn't the permanent direction you are going in.

Hearing a crowd reaction when it's been just buddies hanging out for ages is/was SO JARRING.
I tend to watch Sorted while doing chores or cooking, and the original vibe is overhearing friends chatting at the table. It's now "Oh my Lord, who are all these strangers in my kitchen." And it is Not Good.
Sorted has been friends hanging out, it's the brand it built itself on, and it no longer feels like friends hanging out with strangers watching.
