Recyled glass "sand" is used here in Australia in structural concrete... upto 80% too. Best thing for excess glass that can't be reused back into the glass industry. Well done👊👊👍

I knew it's used to make insulation, but I was impressed that it was melted in an arc furnace. I thought arc furnaces were only used to make steel.

Crushing glass in a similar process, but at a slightly rougher consistency is ideal for "sand blasting" lumber to restore its finish. Companies exist that would be happy to purchase said product!

i had crushed it a bit less then sifted it to make blasting media.

It was “furnace ready” after the first crush and cross belt.
After the second crush, it became (essentially) useless to a glass manufacturer.

which can then be turned into lots of stuff: other drink ware, high voltage resistors, computer chips, etc.
