I built a beautiful pool table room in part of our shop. Complete with new carpet under a 8ft slate table. Practicing daily, and my game is getting better and better and better. Also, thanks to Brian, I don’t mind practicing anymore, because, I see the game of pool getting more fun due to making more shots and being able to move that cue ball around the table like never before. Practice and play makes perfection.
Love the FX billiards videos ! Amazing ! Thank u !

Coach, You Da Man!!!! I knew there had to be an easier way, than drawing perpendicular lines all over the table. Thanks Again!!! Another lesson learned.

I use the parallel shift to check around obstacles. I used all the lining up for years. After time I didn't need it.

I love someone being honest with players. Most players want a simple system that don't involve the P word. Watching this video and shooting 50 a day in practice, and applying what you learned is key. If you practice these every day you will become a good banker in a month. Johnny Henson

I need to start going to the pool hall solo to do these drills, but it’s tough when your friends are always asking for a game. Thanks as always, Bryan. 👏

Bryan I really love how you call a spade a spade. You tell it like it is. I have found the way to make any shot is by consistently practicing the shot. It is amazing how after consistently practicing my bank shot it seems some days I can just look at the table and just bank the shot with no problem.

If you have the cut shot, and you can get position, take the cut shot. If you don't have it, bank that thing. Many top players would play a safe before playing a bank shot, but this video illustrates a good example of where there is no safe, and the bank is the only way to win. Have fun guys.

HAH I’ve been playing pool for 25 years and I’ve never watched a how to video for pool.

Funny that this is the first one I watch!

Everything I learned about this game has been based off concepts/instinct minus the few cue holding positions I use, those came from pros.

Excellent way to describe the way to do things. No BS, straight talk. I've looked and can't find your other 3 videos on banking and the other 5 important episodes or whatever you called it. My age and forgetfulness is showing. If you have links, I'd like them. Thanks alot.

Brain thank you for the way you teach. I am an older guy with sports background. I know without the basics you will never be good at any sport. I am just learning pool and want to be as good as I can. Thanks for sharing the basics.

THANK YOU! I've seen the videos Brian mentioned and ALMOST started second guessing myself by thinking that's not what I do, I pretty much do it instinctively. Thank you for letting me know that my thinking was not way off base.

I have a note book small one for when I play to write down what I did wrong so when I practice I work on it. I haven't played in a league since 1997 and watching your videos and watching others play helps me learn or reset myself mentally

You are a very talented pool player. And you have learned pool a certain way over time. The truth is that the mathematical way is a very good way to get that instinct you are talking about. Well when a person who doesn't have the knack you have or a natural at this game. They receive a good starting point. I really have found that the mathematical way has launched me way ahead of others who have taken advantage of this method. I have started to play pool 5yrs ago I'm over 40 years of age. Now those players my age are very good players who like you rely more on instincts. They have told me that I have excelled fast and can actually beat most of them on a regular basis. We usually play to 5. They have told me the same as you have. When they seen me practicing the mathematical way they would laugh and said that when in a game will the balls line up!!! Well more than you think and when they are not based upon what I've learned I can make adjustments and make the shots 50 percent of the time. Now as my instincts are getting better I'm making more off line shots. But IMO the mathematical way is a great foundation to become a great back shot maker without taking decades to aquire the instincts necessary to become proficient. Having played with individuals who haven't used the mathematical way of one rail banks I understand and actually hope that they don't because they would be extremely hard to compete with. Lol so I think that you are not having an open mind as it pertains to the mathematical way. I practice a lot as a result of trying to understand the mathematical way the residual is instincts to handle speed and rail conditions also dirty balls with cling and other factors. The mathematical way has been a way for me to catch up to the more experienced people who started playing decades before myself. Just a thought. Have a great day

Awesome! I'm amazed at how my "sight" has developed using your methods. I can (almost) look at a shot while standing, then settle in and without looking at the pocket put that puppy in. So I'm starting to "believe" in the instinct thing. We play weekly with another couple, and he is (in my opinion) quite good; far better than we are, and his banks are just that; instinct. You can see it. Adding this to my daily practice list! Can't wait! Thanks, Brian! KEEP
