I’ve found that the Frozen Rail Cut Shot is also be possible for an OB that’s around 3-4mm off the cushion by using inside-draw in equal measure (45° low-left/right). The draw slows down the rebound off of the cushion enough to make good contact. At least, that’s my interpretation of the physics. It’s one of my favourite shots as most people think it’s an impossible cut. It is a hero or zero shot though, especially with swerve over a long distance…

#6 in my league, this guy I was playing was all excited because he had left the 8 ball on the rail and left the cue ball up table and was going on about how the bank was impossible. I just told him I would cut the ball in, his jaw dropped when I sank it 😂😂

I play on English tables all the time, a lot of these shots wouldn't work because the pockets are far tighter. The center pockets on American tables are over an inch and a half bigger and the other pockets are over an inch bigger and the balls are only quarter of an inch bigger. I've played on American tables and they are a lot easier to pot a ball on.

5:09 ball-first hit section really blew my mind man. You can literally get the cue ball anywhere on the table with what is basically the same shot. Amazing.
