The Samsung Galaxy S10 won't matter in 2019

The Samsung Galaxy S10 will be an amazing phone. There is no doubt about this as all smart phones from Samsung have been spectacular as of late. The S10 looks to be something special, but I don't believe it will stem the tide of the downward trend of smartphone sales.

I’ve been a Samsung Galaxy customer since the G1. I’ve purchased every phone, except the S6, (skipped that because of its lack of external storage). I totally agree with you that bringing out 3 different choices, make it harder and more confusing. Right now, I have the S9 and I hate it. I’m going to wait until I see more information on the 10s. If it’s not to my liking, I’m going to jump to an IPhone.

I'll be getting the s10 plus the day it drops. No doubt about it. No one can unpump/unhype me from getting it lol. It really is going to be epic.

Also I have to add something. The low end Galaxy s10 definitely won't be 900 dollars. It will be around 700 dollars the price you said was when it was converted from British pounds to dollars. Great Britain has a 20 percent tax or something like that, so their prices are bound to be higher than the US prices. Just wanted to correct you on that.

Went from note 2, to s7, still using the s7 and will more than likely upgrade to the s10 at launch.

i think the main reason is the attack of the cheaper chinese brands like Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi, Honor, Poco, OnePlus. plus the fact Apple and Samsung are crossing the USD1k price point, making buyers think twice if they need to spend so much on a smartphone and start to look at alternative brands.

Well said. I'm a pretty loyal "Note guy" and while it's shaping up to be amazing, the next generation of smartphones just aren't wowing me enough to justify the 1000 price tag. Smartphones have hit the saturation point in the market and have (temporarily at least) plateaued tech wise.

As bad as i want to get the s10plus, no way am i going to give Samsung another $1000 dollars for a not even 6months later. My Note9 will last me for a couple yrs for sure. Thanks for sharing, Samsung should be watching this video Travis!!!

I still have my Note 5 from 3 years ago when it came out. I'm thoroughly satisfied but I will upgrade to the Note 9 next year since my space is running out. Cant wait!👍🏻

I'm currently using an S7. I'd like to upgrade next year to the S10. I don't understand why people are so butthurt over the little hole in the screen. I'm sure it will not be that bad when we actually have this phone in our hands. Doesn't bother me anyway. We still get what? 93% screen ratio?

I'm totally with you man I've had an S6 Note 7 returned for an S7 then a note 8 and upgrading from the Note 8 to the note 9 I was not excited in the least the only thing that caught my attention was the stereo speakers none of the other new features were that is appealing to me. Samsung you really need to step your game up for the S10 and the Note 10

Agreed. I'm using a Note8 and it's running fine, I just couldn't find a good reason to buy a Note 9 instead.
My wife's using my "old" S7e and is really satisfied with it. It's performance is sufficient for most tasks, including games.
It would be great if Samsung would focus more on the ecosystem in general, incl. upgrades for a longer period of time.

Totally Agree about the trade in program! When I worked retail the average consumer cared about price and price only. Honestly phones are so good nowadays, that the new stuff doesn't matter that much, so if the customer has an option to trade in for a cheaper price, they will do so, every time!
