TJ Parker: A Type 7 Film

Entrepreneur and investor TJ Parker’s calm and casual demeanor was forged, paradoxically, through intense pressure and high stakes experiences. He nurtured a startup company through several “near death experiences” until he sold it to Amazon in 2018. That is when he moved to Park City, Utah, where he resides with his wife and young children. Their life is filled with daily chores on the family farm, the pursuit of outdoor hobbies and the management of vintage arts and car collections—all while being the hub of a lively community of friends and family. 

Director Ben Bertucci joined the Parkers for a day-in-the-life in Park City, as well as an intense ski trip to the wilds of Alaska. TJ shares how it is the chaos itself that gives him the impulse to find balance and tranquility.

TJ brings this ethos to his venture capital work, and to the team at Lazy Sun—a clothing brand he founded with friends.

Love and always look forward to each new Type7 film. A beautiful setting and admirable sentiment, though, in my opinion, could have benefited by delving a bit deeper, providing more background and personal history.
