It would be cool if they explained the relationship between old and new gods. Media was born from art, inspiration, and beauty. Technology was born from crafts and science. In old myths, birth was meant to represent how concepts flow from one another. It would be cool to find out the new gods are literally children of the old ones.

I understand spoilers, but in the book, Mr World's true identity is reavealed pretty much at the end. You didn't spoil this, you literally ruined it. You should have just stuck to Mr World as a new god, and that's it.

You just spoiled it. It's supposed to be a mystery that Mr. World is Loki, whom we've seen in the first episode.

In one of the intro notes in the book (10th anniversary edition) Gaiman said one of his critics pointed out that the true leader of the American New Gods should have been Sports. I'd say that he missed a lot of potential new gods. Given how much of media is covered by Technical Boy, Media should really have been Fame. Science ought to be a new god, especially forensic-type science. There's a mention of the Intangibles, the money-based gods, but they should have a much bigger presence than they do. I'd say Self-Concept or Self-Esteem ought to be a new god too. And don't forget Partisan Politics.

I think old gods that still have powers from the past and present is Dionysus, God of Hedonism, and might be teaming up with the New Gods

It would act like a blood sacrifice but with some heavyweights blood only. Major power up for them both.
