I genuinely thought Mario would be both happy and very mad to see them again.

Happy to see them, and mad because they left him, all that for a pizza project.

This episode confirmed my suspicion that Mario becomes very unstable whenever he is left alone. This made me wonder, “What if Mario’s friends left him alone for too long”? Would he devolve into pure insanity similar to how he was when he was initially zapped by SMG4’s Guardian Pod? Very interesting episode.

I like how they all got angry at Mario but lets be real, this was their own downfall by having everyone leave Mario out and making him go mentally insane.

Alternate Ending: Mario was about to jump off the building, Luigi manages to see him from afar and then he runs out to help him using the BLJ, he goes up the building and tries to save him, Mario seeing Luigi is very happy that he hugs him so tight here Luigi explains that they have been busy with a secret project and they can't reveal what it is but you can invite him so blindfold him and cover his nose to prevent him from seeing and smelling the pizza and everyone at the event is enjoying the biggest pizza in the world the event ends and the gang wins the record and to compensate Mario for abandoning him they decide to give him the pizza. Mario is very happy and starts eating the pizza while his friends saw him feeling proud that Mario has not ruined the event.

I wouldn't call this a bad episode, but it was a bit heartbreaking. Everyone of Mario's friends left him just for a world record, causing Mario to lose all grasp of reality and go mentally insane to the point of getting hallucinations. And what do they do when Mario arrives? They get mad at him just because he ruined their work and beat him up. It's their fault for not letting Mario know about their absence. I feel awful for Mario.


Still a cool and creative episode, so no disrespect to Luke and his team. It's just kinda sad.

i genuinely feel sorry for mario on this one. they literally abandoned him for a thing that considering everything else wasn't even that bad. sure he ruined a demo pizza but he has done worse with a lot less reaction from others. this though.. this was pretty much a betrayal. cause seriously he went insane. mario is a goofball but not mean hearted to his friends (most of the time he can be mean hearted to randoms) but that should be the final straw. if not that it should be damn near final. cause they didn't only abandoned him. they beat him up as well for something that wasn't even his fault. cause he was worried and clearly in a shiity place.

SMG4 heard people saying "Mario keeps getting interrupted by other characters" and went to the maximum lmao. Honestly though, this is a really good episode!!! Do want to see more Mario-focused episodes like this more!!

As if Mario being left alone wasn't good enough, the SMG4 crew and the rest of the Mushroom Kingdom left him for two weeks, drive him so insane that he have hallucinations, didn't care if he is unwell, and abuse a mentally worried Mario for no reason when he finally found them...

I've seen a lot of people saying that the rest of the cast was definitely in the wrong here, and I agree. It'd be interesting to see a deeper dive into Mario's response to this, hell, a deeper dive to Mario's response to everything that's happened. Though as much as I hate to dampen the hope of fellow fans, I don't think Mario would change THAT drastically. I could be wrong, maybe the boys have been leading up to something genuinely meaningful with Mario. We can clearly see Mario has gotten more self-aware, both of himself and others around him.

It's not entirely by much, but it's definitely noticable in certain moments. Personally I think Mario won't get a character arc, at least not a major one like Saiko's or Meggy's. I agree with everyone in saying that it'd be really cool if he did, and we got to see the gang have genuine, weighted consequences for their actions. But I'm personally keeping the bar low, nothing against Luke, Kevin or the team, but that's just how the more episodic videos are styled. They have been for a long time, you know?

But I'd love to be proved wrong.

You know having an idea with Mario being alone almost is a very cool idea but surprises me this that this didn’t happen a while back. But now that we finally got the episode I must say that this is truly one of SMG4’s funniest episodes yet. Especially the best joke where Mario is pretending the dummies are his friends and immediately realizes how stupid that was. Overall a very smart idea for an episode still though I am surprised it took him a while.

Im... genuinely surprised by this outcome. Mario's friends left him alone, without leaving so much as a note, making him go insane, you can see how sad mario was, he actually cares for his friends and their wellbeing. This wasnt mario's fault, he's just mario, and I'm surprised he wasnt crying when he finally seen his friends alive. Nobody should blame mario for this.
