Pro-Palestine protesters hold rally at US Capitol

A large group of Pro-Palestinian protesters have held a rally inside the US Capitol rotunda ahead of the Israeli Prime Minister’s visit to Washington DC.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said negotiations with Hamas over a potential hostage release and ceasefire are improving as he met families of hostages during his time in DC.

Israel’s leader is expected to meet President Joe Biden and presumptive Democrat nominee Kamala Harris at the White House on Friday after a speech to Congress tomorrow.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump says he will also meet with Mr Netanyahu tomorrow at his resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
