Randall spent most of his days single. He learned to focus on himself and love himself for who he is. He went to therapy, started exercising at the gym, and even landed a successful career. He made so much money that he invested it and ended up becoming a millionaire. He also ended up marrying a sweet lady who loved him unconditionally by who he is, not for what he is.

After she lost her job and her boyfriend, Johanna eventually got a taste of her own medicine. She met up with a guy who, not only treated her exactly how she treated Randall, but also revealed that he's a serial cheater and con artist. With almost all her money stolen, Johanna was in the process of facing eviction.

Desperate, she went back to Randall's house. After explaining to him her downfall, she tried to get back with him. However, Randall reveals to Johanna that he's moved on and started his own family. Defeated and jealous, Johanna tried desperately to apologize to Randall for how she treated him and to try to win him back. But her apology was only for herself, not for Randall. Randall saw that right through her and replied, "Johanna, you only cared about yourself. You not only cheated on me, but also tried to throw me under the bus and push me around just to satisfy yourself. That's NOT a relationship. You don't just control or manipulate people around you or force them to do stuff that they're not interested in for your own selfish needs. And look at you now. You lost everything because your so selfish. My wife here gave me all the things you never gave me once. She loves me unconditionally, she supports me no matter what, and she even reminded me to love and respect myself. I would never throw her away to back with someone like you. Because you'll never move on by repeating the past. Good luck with you, Johanna." And with that, Randall closed the door right on Johanna's face, who is left moved and speechless by Randall's little speech.

I know how Randall's mom felt. I too saw how someone how abusing and manipulating my dad. Someone who was using him as a meal ticket. Someone for whom he threw away his marriage for. It ultimately cost him everything, including his health. Yet no matter how many times everyone around him, including myself, tried to tell him the truth, he refused to listen. It was all because of his stupid pride. He believed that he was always right and that no one was allowed to argue with him. He was the kind of man who never admitted when he made a mistake. He believed that he would lose face in the community if he did. But he already did lose the respect of the community. Everyone thought he was having an affair with her. In the end, once he was no longer of any value to her, she tossed him away like he meant nothing. Now's he's been reduced to residing in an assisted living center after a series of strokes. None of this would have even happened to him if he hadn't been so stubborn and listened to people.
