The fact that this was created 11 years ago, is insane, imagine the distribution now.

More and more people might face a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire.

The scale is likely much, _much_ worse now than it was when this video was published. As prices rise, quality lowers, taxes evaded and economic problems ignored, the disparity keeps on growing larger and larger, along with the pockets of those at the top of the scale...

When you realize that this video is 10 years old and wealth inequality is probably 20x worse

A statistic that I recently saw is that 25% of all Americans could not find $400.00 in an emergency, that is scary.

I saw this video five years ago in high school.
Although the data is outdated now, this video needs to be shown in every school in this country.

The worst part is every time we hear "tax the rich more" some poor people fight for them. I just never understand why.

Saddest part is this video is from 8 years ago, and just this year since March, the 1% have doubled their net worth.

Warren Buffet said it himself: It's impossible to not become more rich once you've got millions.

I haven't had electricity in nine months, and I'm currently living in a run down rotting trailer without water and hardly any food.

Ive worked myself to exhaustion in the summer heat and sun hardly eating or resting.

Only to come "home" to literally nothing but darkness and silence.

There is a serious issue with receiving such an awful paycheck every two weeks for the insanely hard physical labor I have to do every day.

This is why the top 1% can afford to give away so much money "for a good cause" because in reality they only give away maybe a few of their green squares, but those few green squares are literally life-changing to someone in the bottom 50%, who only have a few green squares to begin with, if any at all.

Showed this to my high school students today. Best moment: A student who has expressed hypercapitalist and individualist tendencies had an epiphany: _"The top 1% couldn't have earned their money because it's literally impossible to be that productive."_
