My favorite figure skating couple to watch. You could see and feel the love between them.
I have always been a huge fan of figure skating and even now after all this time, this story still brings me to my knees in utter grief and sadness.
I can't believe their daughter is 28 now. Wow! Time sure flies and she still has her Daddy's entire face, lol just like her mom used to say about her when she was little.

I was in love for this couple since the very first time I watched them skating, on TV. They were so young... I always loved their way to skate, their harmony, their grace, their technical skill, everything. And I remember that, after skating, she looked serious and nervous, and Sergei gave her always his calming warm smile. Always, since the first time I watched them. Every time it was possible I watched them on TV. I saw them growing, at least on ice, and I assisted to the birth of the flower of love between them just looking to them, to the smiles, and every single touch or phisical contact before, during and after the skating. I was not surprised when they became a couple. But I was devastated when He died. For their daughter, for Katia, and for the happiness they could not anymore give to me, whatching them skate on TV many more times. They are in my mind. I took lessons from Katia in 2018. She did my Christmas program that year. Sometimes, we would trade, and I would do Daria's hair in exchange for my skating lessons. I feel for daria and hope is doing well. LA hasn't been nice.
