It was a cold night. Zira ran off, escaping her fathers rule. He had hit her, manipulated her and abused her all her life. But last night, it got out of hand. He had killed her mother after he discovered that she was acting sweet to Zira. Zira couldn’t take his bitterness anymore, so she ran away, all alone. Because the rest of her fathers pride was too scared to stand up against him. She walked for days, thinking about what she was gonna do now. Just when she was about to give up, she saw animals in the distance. A new wave of energy ran through her, she made it, she thought. She was now in the Pride Lands.

As she walked around, looking at all these animals, there was one animal that stuck out to her. She saw a strange lion with a mark across his eye. It was Scar.

In my opinion, Zira is just a female version of Scar. Scar was killed in the first movie so Disney created her to fill the void left by Scar. They were both animated by Andreas Deja. You can see his art style in both Aladdin, The Lion King and The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride.

Some small part of me, feels bad for Zira. She was just so devoted to Scar, an evil lion who wouldn’t even give damn about anyone. I wouldn’t be surprised if Scar doesn’t care about Zira at all.

Despite, how She scarred her son Kovu and brainwash him into being loyal to Scar. Kovu still can’t help but feel sad for his mother death. Lets hope if Kovu and Kiara had cubs of their own, Kovu would be a better parent to his kids than Zira ever was .

I must admit that this story was very interesting and believable. However the only thing I disagree in it is that Vitani was born same way as Nuka because they act as siblings and Kovu was the only one adopted. Also to keep Vitani occupied, Zira and Scar adopted Kovu who was closer in age with Vitani. Other than that, I would definitely give this two thumbs up 👍 👍!!

I am a little bit confused because when I first watched The lion King 2 Simba's pride as a kid, the film never explained Zira's background or if she's Scar's mate because in The lion King 2 Simba's pride book said she is, although in the lion guards episode they did explain Zira's backstory but none mention about her being Scar's mate.

Being a husband for almost 26 years I’ve had moments where I’d be distracted watching a show, reading a book, or listening to music and suddenly my wife would ask me a question to which I failed to hear her on and have to have her repeat it.
So maybe JUST maybe their story went something like this. Scar and Zira plan on how Scar can be king.
Zira: “Scer? I have an idea on how you can rule. Scar? You listening? I need you to follow my instructions on this one. Ok?”
Scar: (too busy thinking about being a ruler) “‘Yes dear’ (code phrase to keep marriages long) anything you say I’ll do.”
Zira: “Good. Now once Simba notices his dad on the ground kill him right then and there making jt look like an accident. After that go give out the bad news, hire only a small group of hyenas, and make sure everyone has enough food to last for many years. Listening?
Scar: (just nods as he imagines an army of hyenas obeying him)
Zira: “Good. Cuz I don’t want you leading a starving group and I don’t want to have you or me fighting an older Simba with one of us or both of us dying in the process.”
Scar: “Sounds good.” (Another vision of himself ruling).
Zira: “Oh, and never blame the hyenas for anything or they might kill you.”
Scar: (to self “blame the hyenas?! Hmm) “ok.”

I saw a comic someone made where zira shunned Nuka as a cub after Scar didn’t want him as heir. Sarabi helped care for and supported him (still grieving simba) until Simba returned and exiled them. It was really interesting

Ahadi abused Taka (Scar) and favored Mufasa.Scar wanted to be treated like Mufasa, so he wanted to take him down.Ahadi never derserved to be king.Scar needs another chance.Ahadi melted Scars future.Ahadi should not be labeled/called a king, he doesn't not derserve
