My site is a bit far from a residential vicinity. I've just started out and I'm the only one building in that area at the moment.
Measures I've taken.
1. 2 solar cameras, each device has 3 cameras, 1 ptz and two static ones. I've placed one inside my storage shed with the ptz facing inside and the other two outside. The other one is positioned at a higher elevation to detect and report movement even from far distance

2. 2 solar lights on site

3. I'm yet to consider a caretaker nearby who can quickly goto the site when my cameras report any suspicious movements.

Not fool proof but as you mentioned it'll scare away most thieves.

Hi African Hub. Please I really want to get in touch with you. I experience ce sad case with my caretaker, my electric meter was stolen and half of my gate. According to the caretaker, he went to work. My two neighbors, one used pile of sand to blocked my wall and the other piled her blocks which damaged my wall. After they claimed, they fix my wall, the following month the wall fell again. I had to fix it. My own family used my project as their bank, for their source of income. They spent all my money, right now my issue is getting a good caretaker. I am interested in getty a good security.African Hub

INSTEAD OF PUTTING A CARE TAKER AND PAYING HIM, RATHER RENT OUT THAT SINGLE ROOM. IT MAKES THE PERSON MORE RESPONSIBLE AND ALSO YOU MAKE SOME MONEY AS WELL
